On Saturday afternoon Christine and I made it over to the capital to catch some of the last riders in the prologue race of the Amgen Tour of California. It was a gloomy day so I wanted to try some off camera lighting to get some different looking photos. Christine helped out by holding my flash that was attached to a monopod. She did a great job!!! It was a super fun time watching the top riders in the world race by you and taking photos of them at the same time.
The next day we drove to Winters to take some photos of them during the 1st stage of the race. It wasn’t as fun as the first day due to the fact that we had to stand out in the pouring rain. But it was still fun to see all the riders again and cheer them on!!!

Tyler Hamilton on Course

Lance Armstrong on Course

Floyd Landis on Course

Levi Leipheimer on course and he also got 2nd place.

Last weekend Christine and I went down to Mammoth to do some skiing and too celebrate my Mom’s and Uncle Tom’s Birthdays. We had a super good time skiing even though it snowed the whole time and celebrating their birthdays was fun too. On Sunday afternoon Christine and I went out to have some photo fun in the cold and snowy weather. Some of the photos that we took are below in the post. I was also stoked to awake to a bunch of new powder on Monday morning, which I tracked up all morning long!!!
Blowing out the candles on their cake!!!

This past weekend Christine and I were up in Lake Tahoe again do to some more wedding planning. We finally have all the big planning out of the way now!!! So now it’s time to focus on all the small detail items. Here are some photos that I took on Saturday morning out of our hotel room at sunrise. Yes, that’s right sunrise on a Saturday morning. That’s what happens when your planning a wedding, no sleeping in on the weekends
