Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer I Sacramento Wedding Photographers

On Tuesday I was up in Tahoe for another awesome engagement session. Janine and Kevin really wanted to have some fall colors for their shoot. The bad thing is that really none of the aspen trees down at lake level had turned any colors yet. The good thing is that I always know that the aspen groves atop Monitor Pass always change colors first because of the high elevation. I’m so glad that they trusted me because Monitor Pass is out in the middle of nowhere and I was sooooo happy to see that the trees were already changing colors when you drove up to the groves!!!! We also had fun shooting along the Carson River and in Hope Valley. I always forget how much I love fall especially after seeing those aspen groves:-)

Last Sunday after Christine and I saw the Pop Art show we went to downtown Sac to have some photo fun. I truly believe in shooting for yourself so you don’t burn out and also to get your creative juices flowing. I try and do this at least a couple times a month, but during the busy wedding season I haven’t found that much time to do this. So it felt great to go out and get crazy with the camera. Christine’s Photos

Last Saturday I photographed Nicole and Whit’s wedding up in North Lake Tahoe at the Dollar House. The Dollar House is a prefect place to hold an intimate wedding; it’s just such a beautiful part of Tahoe. I love September up in Tahoe because all the crowds are gone, which means you can really enjoy Tahoe and fall is in the air. I had an awesome time photographing the wedding, which made my day seem easy.

Yesterday Christine and I went to the Crocker Art Museum to see the works of Andy Warhol and other artist that created pop art. As an artist myself I think it helps me come up with new ideas by going and seeing art in museums and galleries. If you’re near Sacramento I would highly suggest going and seeing these works of art. All the photos were taken with my spy camera aka point & shoot camera.

Happy Friday Everyone!!!! Things are finally starting to slow down over the next couple of weeks and then one last rush of weddings in October, which will then mark the end of the wedding season for me. I have a wonderful wedding tomorrow up in Lake Tahoe and can’t wait to show you all the photos next week sometime. I’ve been trying to post more often, so here are some Polaroid photos that I took a while ago. One is a self-portrait and the other is San Francisco. Have a great weekend!!!!
