Last Saturday Christine and I photographed Claire and Kyle’s engagement session at the Capital and then we drove down the river road to the town of Clarksburg. It was a super hot day so we were looking for shade everywhere we shot. Claire and Kyle were such troopers about the hot weather. We ended up with some great shots and managed not to melt away in the process.

I was up in Lake Tahoe again for another amazing engagement session during the first part of June. Lauren and Nick came all the way out from Illinois for their wedding and engagement session. A couple of days before the wedding I drove up to Tahoe to photograph their engagement shoot. We had such a good time shooting all over North Lake Tahoe. We started out behind the Painted Rock Lodge in the woods, then moved on to Squaw Valley and ended the shoot in Tahoe City. It was perfect Tahoe summer day.

Last Tuesday I went to San Francisco to photograph Jen and Paul’s engagement session. I had a fun afternoon with two of them. We started out at Ocean Beach with some casual photos. Then we moved on to Lands End Overlook!! All I can say is that this is probably one of my new favorite spots in SF!! The views from there are just breath taking. We then finished the session up at Golden Gate Park before it started to rain.

This past weekend I was in San Francisco to photograph Andrea and Brian’s engagement photos. The weather was amazing for San Francisco, with not a cloud in the sky and the high for the day was in the middle 70’s. It doesn’t get better than that!! We stated out at the Palace of Fine Arts and finished down at Baker Beach. It was also crazy to see how many people flock to the beach when it’s nice weather in SF.

I recently photographed Lisa and Dagan’s engagement session down at the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, CA. Since moving to Sacramento I’ve heard that the Grand Island Mansion is one the prettiest venues around. My gosh!! After finally seeing it in person all I can say is WOW!!! Lisa and Dagan are getting married at the Grand Island Mansion in January. So it’s going to be dark by the time I shoot their wedding portraits on their wedding day. So we decided to shoot their engagement photos there so they could get some amazing photos in the daylight. After that we went down to Lisa’s parents dock on the river and had some fun

Last Tuesday I met up with Kim and Eric in Napa Valley to photograph their engagement session. We started the session off at Rutherford Hill Winery, which has some great views of Napa Valley. We tried to stay in the shade most of the time because it was a hot summer afternoon in Napa. After that we drove down into the valley to find some vineyards to shoot in. It was pretty easy to just stop off the side of the road and walk into vineyards and shoot. Gotta love Napa for this!!!
