I found out right before Christmas that one of my wedding photos was a finalist in the PDN Top Knots wedding photography contest. I was thrilled to find that out because last year I won the getting ready category of the contest. This year a photo of one of my grooms, who was holding a bouquet was a finalist and was published in this months PDN magazine. A big thanks to Emily and Matt for letting me photograph their wedding, so I could capture this image. Click here to see all the other winning photos.

Hello!!! I know I haven’t posted anything in awhile and shame on me. I’ve just been super busy with weddings, engagement shoot, trying to buy a house and some small vacation trips. The new Sacramento Bride and Groom magazine came out about a month again and to my surprise I found out that they published some of my wedding photos!!!! I was happy to find this out and it’s always fun to see your images get published. I scanned the photos that made it into the magazine. Enjoy and sorry about the bad scans.

Right before Christmas I found out that one of my images was selected as a finalist for PDN’s Top Knot wedding photography contest. This was such a great early Christmas present. I thought there was no way that I would even be a finalist because this photo contest has all the top wedding photographers entering it. I was just super happy because my photo was a finalist and was going to be published in PDN, which is the top photographers magazine in the U.S. or if not the world.
Yesterday I found out that my image of Anika getting zipped up in her wedding dress won the “Getting Ready” category of the contest. My jaw dropped to the ground when I saw this on my laptop!!! A BIG thanks goes out to PDN and the judges that award this photo the category winner and Anika and Luke for letting me photograph their wedding.
